X-Ray generations utilizing Thomson scattering fill in the gap that existsbetween conventional and synchrotron-based X-ray sources. They are expected tobe more intense than X-ray tubes and more compact, accessible and lessexpensive than synchrotron. In this work, two operation modes of Thomson X-raysource are documented: quasi CW(QCW) and a pulsed one are considered formaterial sciences and medical applications being implemented currently atSynchrotron Radiation (SR) facilities.
